Description

My client are looking to recruit an experience Ocean Exports Clerk to join their team based in Stockport.

Key Responsibility:-

To process bookings received from client. Complete pre and post shipment tasks, as defined below, and ensure clients expectations met in full.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:-

  • Receive bookings from clients and arrange collection of goods.

  • Establish Routing & Rating and book with Gateway / Carrier.

  • Advise vessel details to client.

  • Enter Shipment data in Operating Systems; RS, INTRAC.

  • Process NES/AMS/ACI Customs Entries on all shipments.

  • Check Credit Limits and liase with Credit Control when necessary.

  • Print Documents; HB/L, Ocean B/L, Manifests.

  • Pre-Alert overseas offices and timely despatch of documents to clients.

  • Invoice & Job Costing and approving Purchase Invoices.

  • Ensure client KPIs are met in full

  • Maintain good relationship with client.

  • General administration

Functional requirements

  • Good Customer Service skills and abilities.

  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience. Operational know-how (Ocean Export Services).

  • Sound organisational skills.

  • Good IT capabilities and understand.

  • Numerate & Literate.

  • Accurate.

Personality traits

  • Team Player, being a member of an 8 team department.

Educational background & work experience

  • Operational industry experience (minimum 2 years)
